Shrimp Scampi Recipe

This recipe serves 4.

Ingredients

24 large uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined but keep the tails attached
1 cup white wine
4 garlic cloves
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Lemon wedges

Preparation

Marinate the peeled and deveined shrimp in the white wine.

Mince the garlic and cook very gently in butter and olive oil in a large pan, with the parsley - the garlic must not brown.

Add the shrimp with the wine marinade and the juice from a couple of lemon wedges. Cook for a few minutes until the shrimp are pink.

Serve the shrimp scampi with lemon wedges, on rice or linguine for a main course.
